Governor Jim Justice Announces $13 Million Investment in WV State Parks
West Virginia Governor Jim Justice has announced exciting new developments at Cass Scenic Railroad State Park and Lost River State Park, highlighting the state’s commitment to enhancing outdoor recreation and tourism.
Cass Scenic Railroad State Park is set to introduce its first-ever campground, featuring 100 campsites equipped with modern amenities while retaining the park’s historic charm. This marks a significant addition to the park, offering visitors a unique blend of comfort and history.
Lost River State Park will also see expansion with the addition of 35 new modern campsites, further enriching the park’s natural appeal and providing more options for outdoor enthusiasts.
These projects, with a combined investment of nearly $13 million, are expected to be completed by mid-2025. They promise to enhance the visitor experience and significantly boost local tourism.
